Today my belly and back told me to stay at home. Living with a toddler in an apartment can be a challenge if one plans to stay in bed most of the day. This is where Super Grandpa comes in! My father took E to an indoor playground for nearly 3 hours so that I would have some uninterrupted resting time. I couldn't sleep as Maya Angelou's book, The Heart of a Woman kept begging me to read instead of sleep, but it was still good to have a full rest day now and then. It's not like I'm off doing anything major. I'm lucky if I get one errand or event a day accomplished, but today was a day to rest. If Super Poppops hadn't agreed to take E to the indoor playground, I would have had to be doing something with her.
Of course, even though E had been at home until 1pm, she had saved her big bathroom event for when she was alone with her grandfather who happens to have a very weak stomach! Still, he managed and she cooperated. Way to go, Dad! You survived, E had a great time playing, and I got to rest!
