I am moving soon. Let me grab a box.

Towels.
Blankets.
Wash clothes.
Lunch boxes.
Shoes.
Brooms.
Dustpans.
Dog balls.
Toys.
Candles.
Place mats.
Garden tools.
Garden gloves.
Sweaters.
Books.

Did I say a box?

70 towels. That's how many towels I counted. Family and friends kept giving me gently used towels...
dog towels
car washing towels
oops towels
spit up towels
guest towels
pool towels
family towels
beach towels
Eight times...eight equals sixty four. So basically, every category had eight towels, supposedly. And I lugged this growing pile of towels around with me from state to state for 14 years.
Then one day I made two stacks:
dog towels
family towels
And I donated the rest to the local homeless shelter that was having a drive in need of towels.

What a wonderful feeling.

Now I think we have a total of 20 towels. That estimate might be a bit high. Mom, thank you, but I don't need any more towels right now. Laura, it's okay. We'll let you know, too!

Pack rat tip of the day:

Less can be more!
