My Real Life

I haven't been writing in a few months as I have been very busy. My daughter was born and we moved. Life summed up in one sentence. It's okay that I haven't written. I've forgiven myself and realized that life isn't going to happen how I want it to be, but it's okay. So what if there are months that go by without being able to blog or never getting caught up on my emails. It's okay. The truth is, most of my life I spend listening to others, observing what they are doing, and studying the world around me. There will be a day when I start to send out my stories to publishers, but I have to be realistic that there will be months that go by when I'll feel like I'm sitting in the middle of the lake in a small canoe while there's a motor boat race going on around me. Everyone else is on those boats and I'm sitting in my little canoe watching them. I've felt like this for years, but I have finally learned to accept it. It's okay. My life is busy. Writing can wait.
