Visiting the Folks Back Home in Virginia-Thunder Storm

I have been visiting my parents in Blacksburg, Virginia, a small town that is nestled next to Virginia Tech. I have been for several days, but haven't written about my life here as we don't slow down long enough. In fact, in the short time that I have written this, my son is asking me to turn on the electric piano. So life is really fast as I am really busy.

For example, we just cut down two trees that were blocking satellite signal (which is a paradox since my parents love trees and really don't care for tv) and just as we were beginning to drag the limbs down the hill, a huge thunderstorm blew in. I know, I know, in Bogota it rains all the time, so where's the excitement, right? But there's something about running up the hill, rain pounding your face, and the sound of thunder chasing you as you race for shelter! The whole sky lights up with the lightening even though it's still daylight out here on this little mountain in Blacksburg, Virginia. It doesn't get dark until 9pm which is totally weird now that I have been living in Bogota for so long and the nights come at 6:30pm!

It's now 4:30pm and it is a little darker, but that is because of the storm.
