Leaving My Family

Tomorrow, Sunday, I am leaving 3/4 of my family behind in Texas. It's not an easy thing to do especially since I'm talking about my daughter, my son, and my husband.

I've already had to say goodbye to my favorite snuggly cat, Piglet, and my crazy cat, Tigger. I won't see them for 4 1/2 months. Tigger will be okay, but I worry about Piglet as he's already so anti-social (except with me) that this might make him withdraw more.

But tomorrow morning I board a plane with my youngest, heading off to San Diego, without my two older children. I have to leave them because really, they have to leave me. They have to return to Bogota to go back to school, but if I go with them, I will be plagued with more headaches, nausea, and exhaustion while I am still pregnant. Sure, there's no real way of knowing if this is the case, but it was from July 14 to November 1st (when I landed here) so I am pretty sure if I go back, it would resume if not increase.

34 days.
34 days.
34 days is between me and my kids.
